Boy these pups sure are growing fast. Their eyes were opening or opened by 2 weeks (some sooner than others), ears by 2 1/2 weeks about the same time that their teeth started coming through. They really started draining KIA about that time so they started on food a day shy of 3 weeks (she's happy to be socializing with the other dogs again). They LOVE their puppy gruel (combination of goats milk, oatmeal cereal, yogurt & raw meat/food. The first meal was just milk/cereal but after adding the raw food they really have gotten into their meals!

Personalities all seem pretty even all around, no one seems shy or super pushy and all of them are playing and trying to run (which is quite amuzing to watch). It's interesting to see the weight shifts going on, our smallest at birth is now our heaviest (#5m) and our heaviest at birth is in the middle (#1).

Our Little Soldiers:
#1 Male white with brindle spots, (birth weight: 12.8 oz; 3 wks of age weight: 2 lbs 5.8 oz).

#3 Male brindle irish marked, black mask, (birth weight: 12.4 oz; 3 wks of age weight: 2 lbs 6.6 oz).

#5 Male Red sable irish marked with black mask, (birth weight: 9.8 oz; 3 wks of age weight: 2 lbs 8.2 oz).

#5 says "I am only doing this to please this crazy lady."

#1, 2 and 3 with bits of dinner on and in them, surprisingly very little was worn though.

Our Little Lasses: #2 Female white with brindle spots, (birth weight: 11.6 oz; 3 wks of age weight: 2 lbs 3.6 oz). #4 Female white with red sable spots, (birth weight: 10.2 oz; 3 wks of age weight: 2 lbs 2.6 oz). Little girl was sleepy, standing up was not what she had in mind. #6 Female Blue fawn brindle irish marked split face, (birth weight: 11.6 oz; 3 wks of age weight: 2 lbs 6.8 oz). Our little blue girl wasn't so cooperative this week, she opted for only one side shot (with one leg up). This puppy is only pup we know that is not available ... sorry folks! Upside down sleeping ... a typical whippet trait demonstrated quite often by #3. Not to be outdone ... #6 shows she can sleep upside down too. First meal, and no there's no salsa in the center ... it's apart of the dish. :-) The shortest distance between two points is a direct path ... #2 under #3. Here I come!
